RICERCA

Profilo:

  • Vice-rector for Building Heritage and Architecture (2013/2019);
  • President of the Degree course in Building Engineering and Architecture, (2013/2019);
  • Responsible of the STEP laboratory (Since 2002).

Research interests are focused on three main topics:

  • Knowledge based conservation of the historical heritage, mainly focused on sustainable restoration, dealing with survey, monitoring and mapping techniques; diagnostics (e.g. thermograph); historical building techniques and conservation strategies. Latest researches are focused on the development os sustainable restoration strategies, including Life-Cycle oriented conservation and improvement of thermal behaviour of historical buildings;
  • Typological and technological issues related to the hospital building project;
  • Sustainable building technologies and architectural design in developing countries and the global south

member of the research unit of the university of Pavia (PI prof. Sandro Parrinello). Responsible for mapping and technological reading activities and the degradation of the study area located in the historic centre of Bethlehem.

PI for the research unit of UNIPV dedicated to the geometric and technological mapping of a portion of the historic centre of Matera, to build a navigable 3d model.
