  • PhD in Urban Planning at Polytechnic of Milan, Associate Professor in Urban and Regional Planning since 2010;
  • Since October 2019: President of the Master Degree in “Building Engineering and Architecture”;
  • Since 2013: Director of MS Double Degree “Pavia – Tongji University of Shanghai” in Building Engineering and Architecture;
  • Since 2013: Vising Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP) of the Tongji University of Shanghai;
  • He is Member of the Editorial Board of the “Journal of Urban Planning and Development” of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – Associate Editor from 2011 and 2015 and Reviewer from 2008;
  • He has more than 150 scientific publications in the fields regarding the “city of 3S: Smart, Safe and Sustainable”;
  • Since 2008: Member of the PhD Board of DIET and DICAr Departments. He has been Tutor in 6 PhD thesis;

City Councilor (Assessore) of Urban Planning and Mobility of the Segrate Municipality from 2015 to 2020. Specific mandate: city planning, private building, urban design, mobility, infrastructures.
During the 5 years, they were faced many big scale projects, such as:
– New Segrate “City Plan”, from 2015 to 2017;
– Unibail Rodamco Westfield (URW) Multifunctional Center (with Regione Lombardia, Metropolitan Area of Milan) – estimated global cost: 1.5 billion €;
– New “Cassanese bis” metropolitan city road agreement and construction – estimated global cost: 150 million €;
– Creation of the East Gate of Milan: Extension of the MM Line 4 from Linate to Segrate (with also a Grant from EU for preliminary design) and new High Speed Train Station in Segrate – with: Regione Lombardia, Città Metropolitana of Milan, City of Milan, MM (Metrolines of Milan), SEA (Airport society), FS (railway national society), URW – total forecasted cost: 400 million €
